On Jan 3.The Hubei Province Electronic Information Industry Technology Reform Demonstration Experience Exchange Meeting and Industrial Economic Operation Scheduling Meeting was held in Huangshi. Representatives of Huangshi Municipal Government made a speech on the exchange of experience.
The electronic information industry is a trillion-level industry in the “51020” modern industrial system determined by the provincial party committee and government. At present, Huangshi has developed into one of the three major PCB industry clusters in the country, and has been approved as a national innovative advanced electronic component industry cluster. There are 74 electronic information enterprises in the city, including 10 global PCB top 100 enterprises and 14 national electronic circuit top 100 enterprises. In 2020, the total output value of Huangshi’s electronic information industry was 13.575 billion RMB, an increase of 40.1%; from January to October this year, the output value increased by 59.5% year-on-year; during the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, the total output value of the electronic information industry will exceed 100 billion RMB.
Based on the local copper resources, Huangshi plans to develop the “mother of electronic products” – the PCB industry. Since Hushi Electronics settled in 2010, in just over 10 years, the electronic information industry has grown from nothing, from small to large, from weak to strong. This year, Huangshi’s PCB production reached 6 million square meters, and 11 products have the largest market share in the country. Every 3 smartphones in the world use Huangshi’s PCB boards and every 100 new off-line cars use Huangshi’s PCB boards. During the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, the PCB production capacity will exceed 40 million square meters.
Taking PCB boards as a breakthrough, Huangshi has been deeply involved in the electronic information industry chain, developing products such as copper foil, glass fiber cloth, and copper clad laminates upstream, and developing glass thinning, glass cover plates, touch screens, display modules and other display products downstream, as well as chip packaging and testing. Wafer regeneration, driver chips and other semiconductor-related products, basically form a complete industrial chain covering the “chip screen and end network”and build a complete supply chain from R&D to design, from manufacturing to testing, from components to end products. The park can be equipped with a full cycle, which has formed a leap from the integration of raw materials and components to terminals and high-end products.
Relevant experts from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology commented that the construction of a national-level electronic information industry base in Huangshi has basically taken shape, which will help Hubei to build a trillion-level optoelectronic information industry cluster.
